The ATMEGA Project Board is designed to work with ATMEGA16/32. The ATMEGA16/32 is a low-power CMOS 8-bit microcontroller based on the AVR enhanced RISC architecture. It executes powerful instructions in a single clock cycle and achieves throughputs approaching 1 MIPS per MHz allowing the system designer to optimize power consumption.The Project Board is equipped with standard JTAG for Programming & Debugging and 6 pin In-System Programming Interface (ISP) for Programming using any AVR Serial Programmer . And the board by default has 16Mhz Crystal.You can use 12V or 9V DC adapter and connect directly to DC jack on board (input to 7805) but if you are using 5V adapter, remove 7805 from board and short footprints of input (1) & output (3) pins of 7805 using a wire and then connect 5V to the DC power jack
